Well it looks like Peter escaped from prison, rescued by the Air Force, only to be duped into going AWOL (because of budget cuts). Now we are homeless (or home full) again! Luckily we are renting a house (didnt buy this time) and the rent is month to month...but its that moving that drives me crazy! IT was only 3 months ago that we did the full meal deal. It looks like several gorilla groups are out there on the horizon...time to get going as the bank book is hungry.
I hate this....I am too old for this! But I was born with ants in my pants (curses) so where will we go next and does anyone want to buy a house?

Sumner house for sale
This house is about 3000 sq feet, CA and CH, 3 bedrooms with ensuite full baths, Formal living room, dining, kitchen, eat in dining, laundry room, florida room and a huge attic and plenty of closets and storage. It is mostly wood flooring (great shape) and has Jenn Air appliances including double oven, stove top, refrig with water and ice on door and dishwasher and garbage disposal.
We put in tear drop hanging lights in kitchen and timed light over window. The shutters are a great touch. The front door opens to a formal living room with gas fire place to one side and the formal dining with alabaster chandlilier on the other. The hall holds the mud room bench and hanging shelves. The family room has another gas fireplace with mantel (can hold TV above) but we put ours in the shelves on the back of the room that is wired for the equipment. The other side of the LR holds the bar area and wet bar sink.
Down the hall are three bedrooms after you pass the walk in closet. The master is huge with two lighted closets and a big ceiling fan. It also has a dressing closet, room, a seperate sink area with lots of bathroom cabinets, and a seperate bathroom with tub, marble vanity and lots of closets too.
The 2nd bedroom has plenty of closets too and a big "pink tiled" bathroom, double sink, bath - very large. The 3rd bedroom also has nice closet space and shelved closet and a private bath with shower.
There is no flood insurance even though the house sits on the bayou and the property goes into the bayou across the street. The city maintains that property. The utilities and taxes are very low. There is a carport.
The Sumner House
The Sumner House was originally owned by Harvey and Margaret Henderson so you know it was (is) nice. The yard is beautiful and landscaped and the backyard is fenced in (high wooden fence) with a nice sprinkle system for both front and back and lights everywhere. The back deck has recently been painted and we so enjoyed BBQ in the summer with the GREAT mistaway mosquito spray system (about $4000) . Both the MA and the lawn system has been summerize as it is maintained regularly.
It has 2 storage units on the back of the car port and an outside shed. The deck has 8 double paned french doors that leads into the Florida room. The florida room has a nice shelved closet for great storage too.
Sumner House for Sale: This house is the BEST!
310 Cassidy Street Sumner is the best location in the town. And the town - what a great place to live! It is safe and dog friendly and a great community where everyone looks after everyone and takes care of everyone. People care-for real! I was lucky to attend Sumner Baptist Church - a short walk away and that was a great family of friends. The town is just a short drive to Clarksdale, Cleveland and Greenwood. No worry about neighbors - got Spence and Rachel on one side (the pharmacist) and Sylivia and Smith on the other (the Mayor). Everyone walks the streets and greets each other and on Xmas eve we gather to party at the Murphey's house and watch the fireworks on the bridge. The house is the best location for all of the activities!
Life in the Delta: House for Sale
We are off and running again! Now we are in Milton, Florida and Peter is working with the airforce. He likes it so far and will be working for the next 13 months on contract. I really like Milton and we are renting the preacher's old house which is great. Milton is a great town too. A little country and close to the beach...how good can that be!
In the meantime, we thought we had a renter but it like the Doc may be going to Jackson so the house is up for grabs. Anyone interested?
